MT WHITE

MT White—A man I think of as an essayist and cultural commentator, although MT prefers to describe himself as ‘a moraliste, in the French sense’ (as opposed to a ‘moralist’ in the English sense!), has already been immortalised in popular culture after Ciccone Youth (Sonic Youth by another name) named their 1988 Whitey Album after him. MT’s attachment to that appalling decade is legendary & truly was it said of him that he is perhaps the first man to ever use the 1980s as A WEAPON. Indeed, it has been claimed MT has been “weaponising the 1980s since before they even began”. I think it is now a matter of public record that Elvis died on his lavatory while giving BIRTH to the 1980s, he literally SHIT the 1980s into existence, and it was MT White who was kneeling at his side feeding him the burgers; “just one more, King. Just one more.” Someone also said of him “If MT White wrote a suicide note it would come in 10 parts, with an Appendix & footnotes; it would be the greatest suicide note ever written, but then the next day he would turn up again”.  When MT speaks of the “artist’s fortitude” it is no doubt this kind of jealous sniping he is thinking of. MT can be found everywhere, where can he NOT be found, he pervades the entire Western World as Holmes claimed Moriarty did, but one might be lucky enough to catch him on Twitter @TheMTWhite or else in his novel, ‘CONTENT’ .
